About us
THE PRACTICE
New Inn
Surgery offers both NHS and private healthcare
and is a member of the Surrey Primary
Care NHS Trust.
We operate from a grade II listed building and
combine traditional family medicine
with modern progressive health care. We are recognised as a training centre for
medical students in their final year at St George's Hospital Medical School
in London.
GENERAL INQUIRIES
Reception is
from 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
and a doctor is on call at all times.
A nurse, health visitor and midwife offer appointments
as required. Eenquiries
concerning hospital reports and
test results should be made after mid-day
to enable their preparation during the course of the morning.
APPOINTMENTS
Consultations are by appointment
only and can be
arranged at reception or by telephone (01483-301091).
When making an urgent appointment please
be prepared to give the
receptionist a brief account of your symptoms as this helps
to prioritize your needs.
TELEPHONE ADVICE
We are pleased to offer telephone advice
during normal opening hours.
The most convenient time
to speak to a doctor is between 11.30am
and
12.30am when the morning consulting session has been completed.
HOME VISITS
Home visits are for patients too ill to come to the
surgery.
Visits are very time consuming so please
attend the surgery whenever possible. Requests should be
made during the morning as this enables us to plan the day.
OUT OF HOURS
Urgent advice
is available outside normal office
hours for
conditions that cannot wait. A telephone call to
the surgery (01483-301091) provides a recorded message giving details of where help can be
obtained. 'Thamesdoc' currently provides this
service but in extreme emergency
please dial 999 or 112 and ask for an ambulance.
CLINICS
The majority of medical needs are provided by
routine appointment but some services are specifically arranged.
These include family
planning, cervical cytology, ante-natal and post-natal care, baby checks,
child immunisation, travel vaccination, health promotion and private consultations.
MEDICAL STUDENTS
At intervals throughout the
year we provide tuition to medical students from St George’s Hospital, London.
You may be asked to see a student immediately prior to your appointment but this
is entirely at your discretion.
